
As founder and partner of Gershman Law PLLC in New York City, Dyan Gershman draws on over 25 years of experience in the areas of corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. She established the firm in 2014 and handles a wide variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, technology and intellectual property licensing, and commercial contracts, for both large and small U.S. and international clients.
Dyan Gershman began her legal career at the renowned international law firm Jones Day working in its corporate group in New York City. While at Jones Day, Dyan Gershman represented many U.S. and international clients in their U.S. and cross-border corporate transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Following Jones Day, Dyan Gershman gained significant additional international and domestic corporate law experience working at two Fortune 50 multinationals in executive-level corporate roles. At Bristol-Myers Squibb, she was head of mergers and acquisitions and corporate law worldwide, and at General Electric she was executive counsel for transactions and finance. In these roles, Dyan Gershman led some of BMS’s and GE’s largest and most strategic transactions, including many multi-billion dollar acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
Now dedicated to serving her own clients, Dyan Gershman continues to represent companies from across the United States and Europe. Fluent in French and having lived in France for four years, as well as being an avid international traveler, Ms. Gershman brings cultural awareness and appreciation of different perspectives to her work.
Dyan Gershman received herjuris doctor from Boston College Law School, where she was an executive editor of the law review and graduated cum laude. She is a member of the New York State Bar and the Florida Bar.
